Déda is a leading creative centre for Dance, Contemporary Circus and Outdoor Work – connecting locally, nationally and internationally.
With an extensive class programme, performances from the best of the international dance and contemporary circus scene, outdoor arts and visual arts exhibitions: Déda enriches people’s lives through dance and the arts.
Dance classes for children and young people start with Play, Dance, Move, for toddlers crawling and walking, to fun and creative Saturday morning classes, up to Déda’s flagship Youth Performance Companies.
Classes for adults offer a range of opportunities for all ages and abilities; whether you want to get fit, improve your wellbeing, or learn a new skill – Déda’s extensive programme caters to all with classes including Pilates, Yoga, ballet and social dancing.
As well as being the perfect place to unwind after your class, or before an evening performance, the CUBE café|bar situated in Déda is an ideal spot for grabbing lunch or dinner with friends. Their seasonal menu boasts some of Derby’s finest cuisine in addition to an exceptional choice of independent wines and ales. The café also has a range of vibrant social events including live jazz evenings, book clubs and poetry performance nights or come along and sit at a Chatter & Natter Table, every Wednesday from 10am – 3pm.
Déda is accessible for all people, and inclusive for deaf and/or disabled people, wheelchair users, guide dogs, people with autism, people with dementia, children, families and older people.
