If you live in Manchester and look after a partner, relative or friend who cannot manage without you- whether that is for an hour a week or 24 hours a day- Manchester Carers Forum is here to support you.
Our telephone support line connect carers to someone who will offer a listening ear, friendship and support. All our support line volunteers have cared for a family member or friend themselves, so have first-hand experience of being a carer. We can also point you in the right direction if you are looking for specific information linked to your caring role.
If you prefer to talk to someone face-to-face, we also offer one-to-one support, in person.
We run several support groups each month, which are held in locations across Manchester. The groups offer a friendly environment where carers share tips and provide support to each other over refreshments. We often have training sessions and guest speakers on topic that affect carers and the people they care for. We organise groups trips throughout the year to help give you a much needed break.
