Mind in Mid Herts is a local mental health charity in Hertfordshire, although we are affiliated to national mind we are financially separate. Our mission is to provide prevention, recovery and support services in Hertfordshire to empower people to take control of their mental health. Our vision is that we will work to ensure the mental health of everyone in Hertfordshire is supported and respected.

We have a variety of projects to suit different needs including carers support, café groups, walking groups, yoga, vocational support, 1-1 support, counselling, workshops and social support groups such as arts and crafts, drama, music and more.

Creative Minds is one of our projects which offers people from across Hertfordshire a chance to learn new artistic skills and improve their mental wellbeing. There are four courses offered as part of the Creative Minds – poetry, mindful photography, pottery and drama. The courses are free to attend, funded by The National Lottery Community Fund, and offer a relaxed and playful environment for individuals to explore self-expression and combat the feelings of loneliness. We are running the project over two years and people wanting to book onto the courses in 2020 should get in touch via email loreta.mattia@mindinmidherts.org.uk or call our centre 01438 369216.
Please be advised we have a waiting list for the Pottery course which appeared to be one of the most popular courses.
