Positively UK provides one-to-one confidential advice and support at our premises and across 12 HIV clinics in London. We have a pool of trained peer mentors that we can match with mentees from similar background and with similar experiences. We run groups, workshops and social events for gay and bisexual men, women, young, ageing and newly diagnosed people to improve their HIV knowledge, build confidence and self-esteem, and create connections to reduce loneliness and isolation.
Our services are structured around improving HIV knowledge, building confidence and self-esteem, reducing self-stigmatization, and creating connections to reduce loneliness and isolation. All staff and volunteers live with HIV and are best placed to support others, understanding like no one else the health and social implications of living with a long-term condition that carries stigma in society.
