Fitness, food and friends

Are you over 50? Looking for a way to get more involved in social activities, meet new friends and learn about staying fit and healthy?

Come along to any of our free Fitness, Food and Friends sessions!

We run 12 week, tailored courses across East Lindsey, each covering:

  • Basic/bespoke nutritional advice.
  • Practical cookery
  • Gentle exercise sessions/seated exercise
  • Signposting to other activities within the local area
  • Time for social activity around tea/coffee to chat and make new friends
  • Activities with partner organisations e.g. Digital Guidance, Tai Chi, CBT

We are currently running the following courses:

Louth – 12 weeks starting Thursday 19th September 2019 | 1:30pm-3:30pm | Meridian Leisure Centre, Wood Lane, Louth, LN11 8SA

Skegness – 12 weeks starting Friday 8th November 2019 | 10:30am-12:30pm | Community Centre, Roman Bank, Winthorpe, Skegness. PE25 1QP

Fitness, Food and Friends has been commissioned by Talk. Eat. Drink. (T.E.D.) in East Lindsey and is a Big Lottery funded project. T.E.D. is working with Magna Vitae to reduce isolation across East Lindsey and is designed to empower and connect individuals, helping to create sustainable change in communities.

CHAPS is our Community Health Activity Project for men over 50, through which we aim to connect individuals to help to create sustainable change in communities.

Come along, meet new friends, have a laugh and enjoy a free breakfast in Mablethorpe or talk about all things sport in Skegness!

We currently run the following two sessions:

CHAPS Breakfast Club – Every Monday (excluding bank holidays)  | 09:00 – 11:00 | Hope House, Victoria Road, Mablethorpe, LN12 2AL

CHAPS Talk Sport – Every Friday | 10:00 – 11:30 | Barratt Court, Lyndhurst Avenue, Skegness, PE25 2PQ

Still Me

Free, Fun, Dementia friendly activities for anyone with a life limiting condition – carers and family always welcome.

Come along, meet new friends and try an array of accessible activities including New Age Kurling, seated exercise, painting, dancing, arts & crafts, singing and more*!

We run regular sessions across East Lindsey in Alford, Horncastle, Louth, Mablethorpe, Skegness and Spilsby.
