The Denby Dale Centre is a local independent charity with a vision that everyone aim can be connected to activities or groups in their neighbourhood, and aims to reduce isolation, relieve loneliness and improve quality of life.

We operate 20+ projects themed across three types:

Community Activities – dementia groups, film club, tea dance, cream teas, coffee morning

Community Buses – Volunteer Car Service, Ring & Ride shopper buses, Group Minibus Hire, Self Drive, Community Minibus Network

Community Centres – Community Centre, Drop In Centre, Charity Shop, Events Centre and Training Centre

New members report a 40% improvement in health and 30% improvement in happiness.

We are a Community Anchor with the two local CCGs linking the NHS and local council with the community and hold the Quality for Health (Level 2) quality marque.

Partnership with the local council, GP surgeries, Job Centre and several educational bodies including students from the local university and colleges.

20% of our 102 volunteers report that they volunteer to address their own loneliness, and have now a much improved quality of life since they started volunteering.
