Wiltshire Libraries host a wide range of activities tackling social exclusion. These include Library Reading Groups open to all, including Shared Reading Groups for people with memory loss and dementia, and their carers; ‘Teccy Teaparty’ – get online events; ‘Tea and Talk’ and Reminiscence Sessions; Home Library Service Volunteers visiting housebound library customers in their own homes. Mobile Libraries visiting rural communities including a Homes Mobile dedicated to Care Homes and Assisted Housing. Rhyme-time events for new parents with babies and pre-school children. Open advice sessions from organisations such as Carers Support; Citizen’s Advice; Alzheimer’s Support; Wiltshire Sight; and Wiltshire Council Health Trainers and Local Area Co-ordinators who will support people of all ages in the community to find local and practical solutions to challenges they may be facing.  We also offer a range of opportunities to volunteer in libraries, and make a difference in the local community.
